Giampietro Fabbri was born in Bologna in 1964. After having obtained the Classical Lyceum maturity diploma, the BS-MS, and PhD degree in Bioautomatics, the conservatoire diploma in Musical Composition, he was employed by the University of Bologna as Researcher (1992), Associate Professor (2000), and Full Professor (2004). He has been researching on evolution, diffusion, and migration processes of different kinds of entities: mass, energy, agents, populations, languages. He is member of the editorial board of the Annals of Global History.
