Education
Graduated in 1983 in Statistical and Actuarial Sciences at the University of Rome, he obtained a PhD in Actuarial Sciences in 1991. Qualified to practice after passing the State Exam of the Order of Actuaries in 1984.
Teaching activity
Since 1991 professor and lecturer in technical-actuarial and financial subjects at various Italian schools and universities such as Luiss, Luiss School of Management, Tor Vergata, La Sapienza, LIUC, Federico II, University of Bologna, University of Ancona, MIB - School of Management, CISA of Florence.
Professional activity
- From 1985 to 1991 ISVAP inspector at the Actuarial Section and Technical Branches.
- From 1990 to 1991 member, as actuarial expert, of the Italian delegation in Brussels in the committee for the discussion of the III Life Directive.
- From 1991 to 1995 Chief Executive Officer of Censer & Watsons, an Anglo-Italian actuarial consultancy and services company in the insurance, banking, social security and corporate sectors.
- From 1995 to 1999 Chief Executive Officer of the Studio Professionale Associato Censer Consulting.
- From 1997 to 2008 Partner and founder of the Studio Professionale Associato Crenca Consulting & Associati.
- Since 2008 Principal Actuary and Founder of the Studio Professionale Associato Crenca Consulting & Associati.
Institutional activities
Since 2008 he has held various institutional roles, including
- Effective member, member of the Board of Directors and of the Board of the Italian Institute of Actuaries.
- Member of the Council of the National Order of Actuaries for about 15 years and from 23/11/2009 to 12/12/2010 President of the National Order of Actuaries.
- From 13/12/2010 until 04/11/2020 President of the Council of the National Order of Actuaries, or President of the Order of Actuaries.
- Chairman of the Board of Statutory Auditors of the C.U.P. (Unitary Committee of the Professions).
- President of ISOA, the Association of the Order dedicated to the representation of Actuaries in international activities.
