Giacomo Calzolari (PhD Toulouse) is Professor of Economics at the University of Bologna and Research Fellow at the Centre for Economic Policy Research (CEPR) London. He has been conferred the Young Economist Award of the European Economic Association and the 2014-Best paper award by the Association of Competition Economics. He has published in top international journals such as American Economic Review, Rand Journal of Economics, International Economic Review and Journal of Economic Theory. He is co-editor of the International Journal of Industrial Organization, European Economy – Banks, regulation, and the Real Sector, Labour: Review of labour economics and industrial relations, and reviewer for most of the international academic journals in economics and several national science foundations. He is member of steering committee of the European Association of Industrial Economics (2016-) and the Association of Competition Economics (2016-).
His research interests include competition policy, the economics of regulation, industrial organization, banking regulation and the economics of incentives (also applied to his three kids).
