Current Position
Gaia is a PhD candidate in Legal Sciences (39th cycle), with a specialization in Constitutional Law (IUS 08 – GIUR-01/A). She holds an open-topic scholarship. Her supervisor is Prof. Andrea Morrone and her co-supervisor is Prof. Chiara Bologna.
Research Project Title: The Constitutional Court between Anomaly and Normality: from Legislative Substitution to the Self-Review of Constitutionality
Her research interests include constitutional justice, bioethics, reproductive rights, abortion, medically assisted reproduction, surrogacy, euthanasia, assisted suicide, informed consent, advance healthcare directives, palliative care, conscientious objection, legal feminism, gender studies, and tools of participatory environmental democracy.
She collaborates with the Chairs of Constitutional Law held by Prof. Andrea Morrone, Prof. Tommaso Giupponi, Prof. Diletta Tega, and Prof. Corrado Caruso at the Department of Legal Sciences of the University of Bologna.
