Gabriele Pirazzini was born in Faenza, Italy, in 1995 and received his master's degree (summa cum laude) in Biomedical Engineering, from the University of Bologna, in 2021, with a thesis in “Neural Systems” entitled “On the possible role of cortical rhythms in the expression and extinction of conditioned fear: an analysis of electroencephalographic signals.”
He subsequently obtained his Ph.D. in Biomedical, Electrical and Systems Engineering (IBES), Bioengineering curriculum, at the University of Bologna in 2024. Research topics: cognitive and computational neuroscience.
His research project concerns the study of brain rhythms in cognitive and neuropathological processes through the analysis of electroencephalographic data and simulations with neurocomputational models.
