Short Bio

Lichenologist and vegetation ecologist, with a MsC in Natural Sciences, a PhD in Earth and Environmental Sciences, currently Research Fellow appointed on the “Life Drylands” project, aimed at the restoration of open dry habitats in the western Po Plain.

Lichen floristics and taxonomy, with both fieldwork and herbarium specimens, with particular focus on genus Cladonia and lichen biota of region Lombardy (N Italy).

Study of open dry habitats in regard to plant diversity s. l. (lichens, bryophytes, vascular plants) in relation with environmental and anthropogenic factors which impact on it, at both local and landscape scale, aimed at understanding patterns and dynamics which can be useful to plan conservation-aimed management; study of lichen diversity patterns in lowland forests with similar approaches and aims, and in comparison with other sensitive taxa.
