Fulvia Antonelli is a fixed-term researcher at the Department of Educational Sciences “G.M. Bertin” at the University of Bologna. She holds a degree in Contemporary History and a PhD in Cultural Anthropology from the University of Bergamo.
Her research lies at the intersection of social pedagogy and anthropology, focusing on educational contexts shaped by migration, social marginality, and cultural inequalities. She adopts ethnographic and qualitative research methodologies to explore educational experiences, practices, and narratives in both formal and informal settings.
Her main research interests include young people with migrant backgrounds and educational underachievement, migration and intercultural education, popular and community-based pedagogies, community work, and reflexivity and writing within the educational professions.
