Short Bio

Francesco Edoardo Vaccari is a young researcher within the team of Prof. P. Fattori at the University of Bologna.

His activity consists of basic brain research. In particular, he deals with electrophysiological data of the posterior parietal areas to understand the mechanisms underlying motor control. He is involved in training and laboratory activities. Aware of how delicate it is to work with experimental animals, he attends courses and meetings on animal care and bioethics. Regarding data analysis, he has experience with dimensionality reduction techniques (such as PCA, t-SNE, MDS), clustering and machine learning algorithms (K-Means, HDBSCAN, SVM, Naive Bayes) and statistical models (HMM and GLM).

He received his PhD in Biomedical and Neuromotor Sciences from the University of Bologna in 2021.

He graduated in 2017 with a degree in Pharmacy from the University of Bologna with a final grade of 110 out of 110 cum laude and joined the Order of Pharmacists of Modena in 2018. During his studies, he lived for a few months in Madrid, attending courses at the CEU San Pablo University and learning Spanish.
