After obtaining a Bachelor's degree in International and Diplomatic Sciences at the University of Trieste, I obtained a Master's degree in International Relations and European Studies at the University of Florence. During my Master's degree I took part in the Erasmus project at the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Bonn and in the MAECI-CRUI internship at the Italian Embassy in Vietnam. Since October 2022 I have been a PhD student at the University of Bologna; my thesis and doctoral research focus on China-EU relations, with a particular focus on Chinese foreign direct investment in critical sectors in Italy and Germany. From February to July 2024, I was Visiting PhD Researcher at the Centre for Security, Diplomacy and Strategy (CSDS) of the Brussels School of Governance (VUB), where I was involved in the activities of two ERC projects: SINATRA (Sino-American Competition and European Strategic Autonomy) and CODE (Competition in the Digital Era). From February to May 2025 I was a Visiting PhD Researcher at the Hertie School of Governance, Berlin.
