Short Bio

Born in Fossombrone (Italy) in 1994, he obtained a Bachelor's degree (2016) and a Master's degree (2018) in Physics at Bologna University, both with grade 110/110 cum Laude. In 2023, he received a PhD in Physics (XXXV cycle) at Bologna University, in the group of Applied Physics for Biology and Health, under the supervision of prof. Remondini. 

He is now Junior assistant professor at DIFA, University of Bologna, in the group op Applied Physics.

He is working with Artificial Intelligence and Complex Networks to leverage social, biological and genomic data. The application fields he is focused on include the surveillance of the evolution of infectious diseases and the discussion about health related topics on social media and scientific literature. Recently, he is interested in protein Language Models to characterise the immune escape potential of respiratory viruses (RSV, influenza).
