Francesco Di Grazia is an adjunct professor for the cross-disciplinary laboratories in Natural Sciences at EDU. Previously, he was a research fellow at the University of Siena, where he also obtained his PhD in Environmental Chemistry. His research activities focus on developing new biogeochemical models to analyze nutrient dynamics (nitrogen and phosphorus) and organic carbon, integrating environmental data with participatory tools (citizen science). He is also interested in various components of freshwater ecosystems, including water quality monitoring, riparian vegetation and macroinvertebrates, GIS applications and river ecosystem scenarios, and ecosystem services analysis. Since 2017, he has been involved in Citizen Science, working on several national and international projects, with a particular interest in the active involvement of schools in these activities.
