I am working on the project “Tracing volcanic winters from a within-magma perspective: sulfur in clinopyroxene and isotope geochemistry of magmas from Large Igneous Provinces”, which aims to detect volcanic winters by analyzing sulfur concentrations in volcanic rocks from Large Igneous Provinces (LIPs). The approach is based on the sulfur in clinopyroxene method, a partitioning technique that allows the reconstruction of parental magmatic sulfur by quantifying it in early-crystallized minerals (clinopyroxenes).
