Francesca Valenti

Francesca Valenti, architectural and building engineer (MS, 2012), PhD in Agricultural, Food and Environmental Science (2018), Assistant Professor at University of Catania until April 2023. Currently is Associate Professor of Agricultural Machinery and Mechanization at the Department of Agricultural and Food Sciences of the University of Bologna. Her research activity mainly focuses on analyzing the feasibility of implementing anaerobic digestion systems to treat and utilize specific agricultural wastes for renewable energy production, GIS-based analyses, modelling and planning; evaluation of the environmental sustainability of innovative production processes through LCA. Within these topics she was involved in several research projects by collaborating with Michigan state University (USA). In 2021 she has got the Italian scientific qualification for the role of full professor for the macro sector 07C1 - Agricultural, Forestry and Biosystems Engineering.
