Doctoral candidate in Cultural and Environmental Heritage, cycle XXXVII. She is a naturalist and palaeoanthropologist with a strong interest in the field of human evolution, funerary behaviour and intentional body modification for ornamental purposes in Prehistory. Her research project focuses on the analysis of human skeletal and dental remains, found in archaeological contexts, that have undergone modifications and alterations caused by the use of fire (combustion and cremation). The development of the project involves the application of spectroscopic, proteomic and geochemical methodologies. The latter focus in particular on stable isotopes analysis to investigate the origin and mobility of people.
