Full Professor of International Law, her scholarship relates to the legal dimension of transnational relations and the development of tools aimed at governing the coexistence, the competition and the inadequacy of state legal systems in dealing with phenomena that transcend them.
Before joining UNIBO, she was Tenured Researcher and later Associate Professor of International Law at the Department of Legal Sciences of the University of Verona, where she also served as the President of the Academic Council of the Law School and the Department Delegate for Teaching.
Global Professor of International Arbitration at New York University (Law-Abroad program in Paris) and Faculty at LUISS Guido Carli University (masters in Fashion Law and in Art Law), she was Fulbright Distinguished Chair at the University of Pittsburgh and Visiting Professor in various foreign universities.
Her research interests span the unification of private international law (on the global and regional scale), the access to justice in cross-border settings and the privatization of the judicial function in a transnational context.
