Full Professor of International Law, her scholarship relates to the legal dimension of transnational relations.
Before joining UNIBO, she was Tenured Researcher and later Associate Professor of International Law at the Department of Legal Sciences of the University of Verona, where she also served as the President of the Academic Council of the Law School. She is currently Global Professor of International Arbitration at New York University (Law Abroad Program in Paris) and a member of the board of the PhD program in International and European Legal Studies at the University of Verona. She has taught at the University of Pittsburgh as a Fulbright Distinguished Chair and has been a visiting professor at several foreign universities. Recently, she was appointed by the Hague Academy of International Law as Director of Studies for the 2028 Summer Course (Private International Law Session).
Her research interests span the unification of private international law and substantive law. (on the global and regional scale), the access to justice in cross-border settings and the privatization of the judicial function in a transnational context.
