Francesca Hartmann conducts research in the fields of Italian literature, rhetoric and the teaching of literature. She is currently a PhD student in Humanities, Technology and Society at the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia and a subject specialist in Italian Literature at the University of Bologna, where she serves as a teaching tutor for the course on the Teaching of Italian Literature. Her research focuses on argumentative processes, the Italian narrative tradition from the Middle Ages to the present day, with a particular emphasis on Boccaccio studies, and the rhetorical dynamics of the representation of women.
She is co-editor and Journal Manager of DNA - Di Nulla Academia and the author of publications on the Decameron, collective deliberation and literary rhetoric. Among her most recent works is the book *I Casanova. Una famiglia d’arte nel secolo XVIII*, published by Pàtron Editore
