Francesca Maria Berardi

Francesca Maria Berardi is a joint PhD candidate at the University of Alcalá and the University of Bologna. She graduated with honours in Theatre and Dance History from the University of Urbino, trained as an actor at the two-year school of the Teatro Stabile delle Marche, and is qualified to teach languages through theatre. Her research combines academic studies, performance practices and educational processes, with a particular focus on actor training and theatre pedagogy. She has taught seminars on dance history in festivals and higher education contexts and has been a speaker at the Polytechnic University of Marche and the University of Alcalá. She has collaborated with INDIRE on training programmes in theatre pedagogy. Her work explores theatre as a pedagogical tool and a means of building communities. She is the author of Parole Camminate, a series of site-specific narrative and sound dramaturgies.
