Curriculum vitae

Federico Ruozzi is an Associate Professor in History of Christianity and Churches (M-STO/07); he has been a visiting professor at Notre Dame, US (2015) and Oxford (2023). He has studied and published on the history of the contemporary church and papacy, on Media&Religion, particularly researching the use of audiovisual sources for the study of contemporary history. He has also dealt with school history and Don Lorenzo Milani, religious illiteracy, religious and gender prejudice, organising workshops, projects and lessons in schools of all levels. Since 2019, in collaboration with the innovative start-up, the La Pira Library in Palermo on the history of Islam and the IDEO centre in Cairo, he has launched a Cultural Heritage & Digital Humanities project in order to develop algorithms for the automatic recognition of title pages of works in non-Latin alphabets.
