Short Bio

Federico Polisca is Adjunct Lecturer in Geoarchaeology at the University of Bologna (MA in Archaeology and Ancient Cultures), and Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Department of Geosciences, University of Padua. His research focuses on geoarchaeology and the micromorphology of archaeological sediments, with particular interest in the formation of anthropogenic deposits within Bronze Age domestic contexts. He specialises in the reconstruction of daily activities and in the identification of stabling practices and space management. His current research is conducted within the ERC Consolidator Grant project GEODAP – Geoarchaeology of Daily Practices, for which he leads geoarchaeological investigations across several prehistoric sites in Northern Italy and abroad (Serbia). He also collaborates in palaeoenvironmental reconstructions, addressing sedimentological and geomorphological aspects.
