Born in 1973, Tropical and Subtropical Agricultural Engineer with a PhD on Appropriate Methodologies and Technologies on Environmental Engineering in Middle-and Low-Income Countries with a thesis on using Effective Microorganisms (EM) in compost enrichment in Palestine. He has spent about 16 years working in composting, biogas production and recycling projects between Italy, Lebanon, West Bank and Gaza strip, Jordan, Vietnam, Ecuador and Several African countries. He worked as consultant for UNEP in KSA for waste management planning at the National Centre for Waste Management. He is specialized in stakeholder engagement, is a member of IAF (International Association of Facilitation) and member of the evaluation committee of the FIA (Facilitation Impact Award). He is currently working for the University of Bologna as head of the research line RERCARB0N on biomass valorisation and he is consulting for a composting facility in Italy to produce organic fertilizers compost and biochar -based.
