Federico Chicchi teaches
Sociology of Economic and Labour Transformations at the University of Bologna and
Globalization and Capitalism at its Forlì campus. He also teaches
Epistemology of Contemporary Malaise at the Institute of Applied Psychoanalytic Research (IRPA) in Ancona. His research focuses on the transformations of work, enterprise, and subjectivity within capitalism, particularly in relation to the transition toward cognitive and post-wage forms of labour. He is a member of the Scientific Committee of the journal
Soft Power, serves on the editorial board of
Changes. Societies and Cultures in Transition (Mimesis) and is part of the editorial staff of
Sociologia del lavoro (Franco Angeli). Together with Alex Pagliardini, he co-directs the editorial project
Err (Orthotes). He is the author of numerous publications in Italian, French, Spanish, and English. Among his recent works are
La società della prestazione (with Anna Simone, Futura, 2024) and the monograph
Karl Marx. La soggettività come prassi (Feltrinelli, 2019).
