Short Bio

After receiving my PhD in Physics at the University of Bologna in 2018, I worked as a research associate at the University of Glasgow until 2023, spending the last 3 years at CERN in Geneva.

During my PhD I was awarded with several fellowships, the first to work at the University of Göttingen and the second to work at CERN.

In 2023 I won a Marie Curie Individual Fellowship on 'Exploring Quantum observables at LHC' and jointly won an RTDb position with which I returned to the University of Bologna. In 2024, I was awarded the L'Oréal-UNESCO For Women in Science Prize.

I have been part of the ATLAS collaboration since 2013 and my main interest has been studying quark-top properties (mass, production, high energy region) and its modelling.

I am currently involved in analysing the collected data by the experiment in order to measure quantities inspired by quantum information theory (e.g. entanglement) using particles created in collisions. On the same subject, I am also conducting several phenomenological studies in conjunction with the theoretical physics group at the University of Bologna.

Office hours

I am usually available to meet with students on Monday mornings from 9:30 am to 1:00 pm.

It is also possible to arrange an appointment at other times via email (see Contacts for details). During office hours we can discuss:

  • questions related to the Mechanics (M–Z) exercises;

  • topics concerning the PhD course: Highlights in Experimental Particle Physics 1

  • thesis proposals (see Teaching).

My office is located at Via Irnerio 46, second floor, room 117.
