Federica Collina is a postdoctoral researcher within the FIS project SAPIENCE, Symbols, preliteracy and code evolution led by Prof Silvia Ferrara (PI). Her research focuses on the documentation and 3D digitization of Rongorongo inscriptions from Rapa Nui using 3D technologies (laser scanner, photogrammetry) with the aim of creating a digital corpus to support the study of the glyphs.
Previously, her doctoral research in ARCH-01/G METHODS OF ARCHAEOLOGICAL RESEARCH focused on developing strategies for communicating “forgotten” cultural heritage through digital technologies.
