In 2017, he was hosted as visiting Ph.D student at Rothamsted research (UK) where he produced durum wheat lines by using Genome Editing techniques. In 2019, he won a post-doc fellowship at CREA (National Council for Agricultural research) for the the application of New Breeding Techniques in tomato. From 2020 to 2022, he was post-doc at University of Tuscia dealing with wheat breeding to improve quality and health values of grain. In 2022, he moved to the Washington State University (USA) as Postdoctoral Research Associate to study gene mutations affecting grain hardness in triticale. To date, he is a researcher at University of Bologna. His research activities focus on agricultural genetics, he studies genetic factors affecting grain quality and root architecture of cereal.
