Research Fellow at the Department of Interpretation and Translation (DIT), currently working on the project Testing Lexical Priming on Japanese.
The project investigates, through corpus-assisted methodology, the potential application of Michael Hoey’s (2005) Lexical Priming theory to explain the structure and the functioning of Japanese, in order to corroborate or otherwise the hypothesis that LP is a universal language theory.
My (overlapping) research interests include corpus linguistics, pragmatics, the language of emotions and, more generally, how language is shaped by and for social interaction.
