My research activities focus on Veterinary Bacteriology with applications in microbiological diagnostics and molecular diagnostics. In particular, my research interests include:
- Antimicrobial resistance (AMR)
- Integrated One Health approach to the topic of AMR, through the study of the interconnection between humans-animals-environment
- Wildlife and its role as a Bioindicator of AMR in the environment
- Applications of MALDI-TOF mass spectrometry in routine bacteriological diagnostics
- Development of MALDI-TOF mass spectrometry for the rapid detection of major resistance profiles in clinically relevant veterinary pathogens
- Bacterial infections in small animals and their zoonotic potential
