Department of Physics and Astronomy "Augusto Righi"

Academic discipline: FIS/06 Physics of the Earth and of the Circumterrestrial Medium

Short Bio

Junior assistant Professor (fixed-term) at the Department of Physics and Astronomy of the University of Bologna since 2017. Assistant research fellow at the University of Bologna, Chemistry Department "G. Ciamician" (Prof. Tositti Laura group) since 2014 until 2017. She holds a master degree in Physics (2010) and a PhD in Earth Sciences (2014), both obtained at the University of Bologna; she is a researcher in the field of air quality, environmental physics and radioactivity. In particular she has dealt with air quality since her master thesis. As a postdoc, her research activity focused on the application of receptor modeling and CTM to identify and quantify particulate matter and other radioactive and pollutant sources. These techniques have been successfully applied both in research projects as well as on technical consultancies in the field of environmental forensics. Nowadays, research themes are extending to the field of urban meteorology (and climatology), and in particular to the study of pollutant transport at different spatial scales, dispersion modeling of airborne pollutants, and to the numerous interactions between climate and air pollution.
