I was born in Fabriano (AN) on August 16, 2001.
Since November 2025, I have been pursuing a PhD in Health Science and Technology (41st cycle) at Alma Mater Studiorum – University of Bologna, with the project “Morphological and mechanical properties of ex vivo metastatic vertebrae,” under the supervision of Prof. Marco Palanca and Prof. Luca Cristofolini (Tech area) and Dr. Giovanni Barbanti-Bròdano (Med area).
My research aims to biomechanically characterize human spinal segments affected by metastases through strain measurement techniques, in particular, Digital Image Correlation (DIC) and Digital Volume Correlation (DVC), and in vitro mechanical testing.
Education
In 2025, I obtained a Master’s Degree in Biomedical Engineering – Bioengineering of Human Movement curriculum, at the University of Bologna, with an experimental thesis titled “Biomechanical Characterization of Healthy and Metastatic Vertebrae using Digital Image Correlation” in the Mechanics of Biological Tissues course, under the supervision of Prof. Marco Palanca.
In 2023, I obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Biomedical Engineering at the University of Bologna, with an experimental thesis titled “Characterisation of the Local Microstructure and Volumetric Strain in Human Metastatic Vertebrae” in the Mechanical Behaviour of Biomaterials and Structures course, under the supervision of Prof. Marco Palanca.
