Short Bio

I am currently both a PhD candidate in from the program “Innovative technologies and sustainable use of Mediterranean Sea fishery and biological resources” (FishMed-PhD) at the University of Bologna (Italy) and a collaborator at the Italian National Research – Institute for Biological Resources and Marine Biotechnology (CNR-IRBIM; Italy). I joined the Italian National Research (CNR) council in 2018, under the supervision of Dr. Giuseppe Scarcella. My main research topics are the stock assessment of demersal species and the investigation of the footprint of fishing vessels. From 2018 I regularly participated to stock assessment working groups at the General Fisheries Commission for the Mediterranean (GFCM) and from 2022 I attend the Workshop on guidelines for reference points at the International Council for the Exploration of the Sea (ICES). I am also in the team organizing and boarding for the oceanographic survey "SoleMon" aimed to collect fishery indipendent data in the Adriatic Sea.
