Short Bio

PhD Candidate in Agricultural, Environmental and Food Sciences and Technologies. Focusing on forest monitoring using satellite imagery and cloud-based platforms for data processing. 

The final project's purpose is to develop a comprehensive framework to assess forest resilience and vulnerability at a continental scale, providing essential data for sustainable forest management and conservation strategies.

Previous relevant work experience:

  • Research Fellow at the Laboratory of Forest Geomatics (geoLAB) of the University of Florence (DAGRI)

Education: 

  • MSc in Sciences and Management of Nature (LM-60) - International curriculum in Global Change Ecology and Sustainable Development Goals at the University of Bologna (BiGeA)
  • BSc in Wildlife Sciences (L-38) at the University of Florence (DAGRI)
  International academic experience:
  • Erasmus+ Traineeship at “Marin Dracea” INRDF (Romania)
  • Erasmus+ Study at Universidad Politecnica de Madrid (Spain)
  • Overseas exchange programme at “Cloudbridge Nature Reserve” (Costa Rica)
