Short Bio

Emilio Rosamilia has been Associate Professor at Alma Mater Studiorum – Università di Bologna since 2026. He received his master’s degree from the University of Pisa in 2010. During the same period, he was enrolled at the Scuola Normale Superiore, first as an undergraduate and graduate student and later as a doctoral candidate. After defending his PhD, he was awarded postdoctoral research fellowships at several Italian and international universities and research institutions. From 2020 to 2025, he served as a fixed-term researcher in Greek History at the University of Perugia. His research interests focus primarily on the Greek colonial world, with particular emphasis on Greco-Roman Cyrenaica and southern Italy, as well as on epigraphic evidence relating to the political, economic, religious, and social life of the ancient world. He is also a member of the MnemAth project (Memory and Space in Classical Athens). Go to the Curriculum vitae
