Emanuele Bajo is Full Professor of Finance at the
University of Bologna, where he teaches corporate finance,
financial derivatives and corporate risk management. He is
currently also Adjunct Professor at the Johns Hopkins University.
In the past he has been Adjunct Professor at the San Diego State
University and Visiting Researcher at Boston College.
He is also associate Dean at the University of Bologna Business
School (BBS) and Director of the MBA in Finance and Fintech (BBS).
His research interests and major publications are mainly related
to the Contingent Claim approach to corporate finance, valuation of
financial derivatives, corporate governance and stock market
efficiency. He has published numerous articles in prestigious international (Journal of Financial Economics, Journal of Corporate Finance, Journal of Banking and Finance, Journal of Business Ethics, Journal of Business Finance and Accounting, Quantitative Finance, European Journal of Finance) and Italian scholarly journals and two books (Convertible bonds and
Corporate risk management), .
He is Editor of the Journal of Economics and Business and
referee for several scholarly journal (Journal of Banking and
Finance, Journal of Financial Markets, Quantitative Finance,
European Financial Management Journal, Journal of Future Markets,
Journal of Economics and Business) and external examiner for the
Ph.D. program at the University of Leeds (UK).
He also worked in business consulting for the company Europraxis
(Spain) and is founder of the web site Borse.it, one of the leading
financial web sites in Italy.
