Dr. Paone obtained her Ph.D. from the University of Calabria. She conducted research and study as a Visiting PhD Student at Pompeu Fabra University (Barcelona, Spain) within the Grup d'Estudis de Prosòdia (GrEP) coordinated by Professor Pilar Prieto. She taught at the University of Calabria and later engaged in research support activities at the University of Padua. From 2020 to 2023, she held a Type A researcher position at the University of Salento, leading a project funded by the Puglia Region aimed at enhancing the linguistic and communicative skills of professionals in the tourism sector.
Her research interests include the acquisition and teaching of pragmatic and prosodic skills in Italian as a second language, as well as oral and mediation strategies. Additionally, she is a co-author of an Italian textbook for foreigners and a volume on the development of emotional competence in a second language.
