The project, directed by the Department of Legal Studies in collaboration with the Bologna Film Library and the Department of Arts, includes three screenings on law-related topics that will be held at the ‘Cineteca’. The initiative points at highlighting the positive relationship between law and cinema, and at making unknown or hard-to-find films accessible. A permanent archive will also be created at the Department of Legal Studies, and will be used for audiovisual productions on "Cinema and Law". The Archive will also act as an Observatory, and alongside the collection of materials it will be a place to think critically about the topic (possible publications, meetings on new issues and important collaborations with other partners).

Co-Teaching Project with Hamburg University with Prof. Dr. Aziz Epik
Country:
Germany
Description:
Since Russia's war of aggression against Ukraine, international criminal law and the institutions called upon to ensure its enforcement have once again become the focus of public attention. In 2022, it was almost impossible to read the news without coming across the key concepts of this branch of law ('crime of aggression', 'war crime', 'International Criminal Court', 'immunity'). However, international criminal law has long been the object of interest and attention in both Germany and Italy, as shown by teaching programmes and academic publications. For this reason, it was decided to offer students of the University of Hamburg and the University of Bologna the opportunity to learn the basics of international criminal law in English within the framework of the ILLF@home Programme of the University of Hamburg) with an easily accessible, digital teaching and learning offer. Furthermore, this Programme is designed in such a way that students can benefit from an exchange structurally integrated into the teaching programme on the one hand and from two perspectives on the field of international criminal law, i.e. the German and the Italian perspective, on the other.
