Elisabetta Matricardi currently works as a PhD Student at the University of Bologna. She earned her bachelor degree in Biomedical Engineering at the Univesity of Bologna in 2018 and her master degree in Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering at the University of Bologna in 2021.
The leading theme of her research activity is the study of the Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) technique, used to jointly perform sensing and communications functions with the same system, with particular emphasis on its energy consumption and energy saving techniques.
Since June 2021, she has been involved in the research project “Towards Ubiquitous 6G Joint Communication and Sensing”, funded by the company Huawei Technologies, within the National Laboratory of Wireless Communications (WiLab) – Huawei Joint Innovation Center (JIC). One of the main purposes of the project is to study the performance of a joint communication and sensing system based on 5G and beyond 5G signals.
