Eleonora Stacchiotti is a PhD student at the Department of Visual Arts at the University of Bologna. She is currently investigating the visual culture related to the use of immersive technologies in various fields of culture, with a particular interest in contemporary art, gaming, and fashion. She graduated in Media, Arts and Performance Studies from Utrecht University with a research thesis on Immersive Virtual Reality used in contemporary art and in citizen education activities on the climate crisis.
In 2018, she co-founded the independent research group Dalla Ridda - based at the University of Bologna - which conducts multidisciplinary research from a queer perspective. She designed a research project on virtual and augmented reality in the field of art for Digicult and co-curated the 2020 edition of the IMPAKT Festival (Utrecht). Recently, she joined the editorial team of ZoneModa Journal and became a contributor for XRMust.
