Eleonora (she/they) is a PhD student in Visual, Performing and Media Arts (XXXVIII cycle) at the Department of the Arts, where she works on the PNRR project "Fashion and Made in Italy: storytelling and valorisation in visual culture and the digital turn" within Spoke 1
Digital Advanced Design: technologies, processes, and tools. Previously, they graduated in Media, Arts and Performance Studies at the University of Utrecht with a research on Immersive Virtual Reality in contemporary art and climate crisis citizen education activities. In 2018, they co-founded the independent research group Dalla Ridda - mainly active in Bologna - which carries out multidisciplinary research from a queer perspective. They curated a research project on virtual and augmented reality in the field of art for Digicult, and co-curated the 2020 edition of the IMPAKT Festival (Utrecht). Their interests include, among others: visual culture, media theory, digitisation and 3D modelling practices, and the use of immersive technologies in contemporary art.
