Curriculum vitae

Eleonora Rossi is a PhD candidate at the Department of Industrial Chemistry of the University of Bologna and her research title is “Life Cycle Assessment of Innovative Chemical Process”.

In 2020 she graduated in Industrial Chemistry bachelor’s degrees with a thesis titled “Study of the Composition and Synthesis of Atmospheric Particulate for Corrosion Studies” in the field of Environmental Chemistry.

During her master's in Industrial Chemistry, she spent one semester abroad at the University of Lille (France) where she attended the Biorefinery International Master Program. In 2022 she completed her master's studies with the thesis titled “Life cycle assessment (LCA) of a bio-fuel cell fed with waste biomass: potential for scale-up and process optimization” with Professor Fabrizio Passarini as supervisor.

Her research is focused on sustainability analysis of chemical processes at both industrial and laboratory scales with academic partners and private companies. Waste valorization and sustainable plastic are topics that she is particularly interested in. To deepen her knowledge about plastics she participated in the EU project GreenMap which allowed her to work in Hamburg with CompriseTec GmbH (January-March 2024).
