Short Bio

Elena Musiani holds a PhD in History at the University of Bologna and a Master Degree as Archivist of the University of Florence. She is currently Research Assistant at the Department of Education Studies “Giovanni Maria Bertin” of the University of Bologna and Assistant Professor for the Joint European Master in Women’s and Gender Studies (GEMMA) of the same University. She is also Fellow Researcher at the Institut Des Sciences Sociales du Politique - Université de Paris Nanterre. Her principal research interests are Social and Urban History in the 19th century as well as Women’s History between the 19th and 20th centuries. She is scientific co-head of the international research programme Les nations et l’Europe: deux mémoires en parallèle/Nations and Europe: two memories in parallel of the LABEX (Laboratoire d’excellence) Les passés dans le present.
