Elena Guerzoni is a PhD student in Pedagogical Sciences at the Department of Education Studies “Giovanni Maria Bertin” of the University of Bologna, academic discipline M-PED/02 History of Pedagogy. She holds a BA in Linguistic Mediation (English and German) and an MA in Primary Education.
Her fields of interest are children's literature, its history and its contemporary developments; adolescent and young adult literature; the history of youth fiction publishing; literary genres; representations of childhood and adolescence in literature, cinema and illustrations; literary education.
Her current research project is concerned with the representations of adolescence through metaphors in adolescent and young adult literature.
She collaborates with the Centre for Research in Children’s Literature (CRLI) of the Department of Education Studies, University of Bologna.
