Final Dissertation: guidelines and deadlines

Students wishing to write their thesis under my supervision must contact me via email:

• at least 6 months in advance for a Bachelor’s degree,

• at least 10 months in advance for a Master’s degree.

(Deadlines refer to the scheduled date for uploading the final thesis to the system; specific dates are listed on the degree program’s website).

The dissertation project must be discussed with me after passing the relevant exam (students cannot write a thesis on a subject for which they have not taken the exam).

In general, priority is given to students interested in developing experimental projects (please email me for possible topics), although non-experimental dissertations may also be completed under my supervision.

For Bachelor’s students, priority is given to those who chose the "Mind, Cognition, and Brain" course as an elective.

As a general rule, the deadlines for accepted projects are as follows:

Bachelor’s degree

  • initial discussion of topics: 8 to 6 months before the deadline for uploading the final thesis to the system;
  • submission of the detailed outline (subject to revision during the process): at least 4 months before the deadline for uploading the final thesis to the system;
  • submission of the first chapter: at least 3 months before the deadline for uploading the final thesis to the system;
  • submission of the second chapter: at least 2 months before the deadline for uploading the final thesis to the system;
  • submission of the third chapter: at least 1 month before the deadline for uploading the final thesis to the system;
  • submission of the final draft (including introduction, conclusion, and bibliography): at least 20 days before the deadline for uploading the final thesis to the system;

Master's Degree

  • initial discussion of topics to be developed: between 12 and 10 months prior to the scheduled deadline for uploading the final dissertation to the system;
  • submission of the detailed outline (subject to revision during the process): at least 6 months prior to the scheduled deadline for uploading the final thesis to the system;
  • submission of the first chapter: at least 5 months prior to the scheduled deadline for uploading the final thesis to the system;
  • submission of the second chapter: at least 4 months prior to the scheduled deadline for uploading the final thesis to the system;
  • submission of the third chapter: at least 3 months prior to the scheduled deadline for uploading the final thesis to the system;
  • submission of the fourth chapter: at least 2 months prior to the scheduled deadline for uploading the final thesis to the system;
  • submission of the fifth chapter: at least 1 month prior to the scheduled deadline for uploading the final thesis to the system;
  • submission of the final draft, complete with introduction, conclusion, and bibliography: at least 20 days prior to the scheduled deadline for uploading the final thesis to the system.

Any changes to these deadlines must be agreed upon with the supervisor.
