PhD in Civil, Chemical, Environmental and Materials Engineering from the University of Bologna in 2023, she carries out research in the field of Geotechnical Engineering at DICAM. Her scientific activity focuses on the hydro-mechanical behaviour of river embankments, their stability under transient seepage conditions, and the investigation of backward erosion piping phenomena through multi-scale physical modelling.
She is involved in national and international research projects addressing the safety of river embankment infrastructure and the mitigation of hydraulic risk. She has gained research experience at the University of Cambridge (UK).
As part of her research activities, she collaborates with universities, public authorities and research institutions in Italy and abroad, and is the author of 35 scientific publications in peer-reviewed journals and conference proceedings in the field of geotechnical engineering.
