She studied at the Department of Classical Philology and Italian Studies at the University of Bologna, developing a particular interest in medieval Latin literature and philology, and furthered her training at University College London. Her research has focused on female writing in the thirteenth century, and she is currently publishing critical editions of the
Vita pullae Christinae Stumbelensis.
She is a PhD candidate at the
Seminar für Griechische und Lateinische Philologie of the University of Zurich, where she is preparing the critical edition of Pietro d’Abano’s
Compilatio physionomiae. She collaborates with the research projects O.P.A. (Opere Perdute e Anonime), C.A.L.M.A. (Compendium Auctorum Latinorum Medii Aevi), and MEL, all promoted by the Società Internazionale per lo Studio del Medioevo Latino (SISMEL).
She is a member of the editorial board of
Artes – Rivista di studi artistici, letterari e musicali, published by the Officina San Francesco Bologna and the Department of the Arts of the University of Bologna, and of the editorial committee of
Micrologus. Nature, Sciences and Medieval Societies (SISMEL).
