Edita Fino is a Senior Assistant Professor at the University of Bologna, Department of Psychology. From 2017 to 2022 she worked as Research Fellow with Department of Diagnostic, Experimental and Specialty Medicine (DIMES), Bologna University. During 2017-2018 she served as Consultant for refugee mental health and psychosocial support issues with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) and from 2019 - 2021 she was Consultant with the International Organization for Migration (IOM). Prior to that, she has also served with the United Nations Mission in Kosovo (UNMIK). She has been a certificate program fellow at University of Basel, Switzerland (2009) and a summer school fellow at University of Stanford, USA (2010) and University of Geneva, Switzerland (2013). Her research interests focus on social, interpersonal, and inter-group processes and the role these factors play in boosting or undermining health and well-being outcomes. She studies these issues in hard-to-reach populations (i.e., patients, refugees, migrants) and professional groups (i.e., healthcare workers and students of medical sciences).
