Short Bio

Associate Professor, she is author of more than one hundred publications (monographs, essays, articles and conference proceedings). She deals with the protection of works of art at anthropic and natural risk, and has created a Protocol for the preservation of cultural heritage adopted by UNESCO. She led research projects funded by EU, GIANO, Nerea and MARSILI. With M. Ciatti, OPD director, et alii directs the book series on History and Theory of Restoration; she is responsible of the University of Bologna-Assorestauro agreement. Founding member of the Institute for the History of the Church of Bologna; of the scientific committee of the annual symposia Days of Justinian I, Skopje, Republic of North Macedonia; member of ICOMOS, she deals with sacred art museums. She is member of the Italian Society of Studies on the XVIII century and the ISECS; her studies on art between 1680 and the end of Enlightment century opened to a reconsideration of Bolognese painting and the relationship between art and science.
