Short Bio

Associate Professor since 2000, she deals with the history of restoration in modern and contemporary ages and of virtual restoration; she takes care of the preservation of cultural assets in areas of natural and man-made risk. The history of painting from the Seventeenth to the Eighteenth centuries is a privileged sector of her studies, in particular of academies in Europe that involves the relationship between art and science in the multilaterality of the outcome in the Age of Enlightment. She promoted the recognition of the European role of painters at the Institute of Sciences in Bologna and the art of the three painters Gandolfi. Member of the Italian Society of Eighteenth Century Studies since 1993 and of the International Section, ISECS; founder of the Institute for the History of the Church of Bologna and member of its Steering Committee since 1990; Member of the Scientific Committee of International Symposia Days of Justinian I, Skopje, Macedonia; ICOMOS member, she is in the scientific committee of the international magazine Cities of Memory. With M.Ciatti, G.Bonsanti, C.Acidini, she directs a collection of books on source texts and restoration studies. Go to the Curriculum vitae
