Domenico Casadei is full Professor of Electrical Drives at the Department of Electrical, Electronic and information Engineering of the University of Bologna. He served as Head of the Electrical Engineering Department and Coordinator of the PhD School of Electrical Engineering. His scientific work is related to electrical machines and drives, and power electronics. His current research interests include vector control of induction machines, electric vehicles, multi-phase machines, power converters, renewable energy systems, and diagnosis of electrical machines. He has published extensively in technical journals and conference proceedings. He has been elevated to the degree of Fellow for contributions to “Direct torque Control and Matrix Converters in Electric Drives. He is a member of Scientific Committees of many International Conferences sponsored By IEEE Societies. He is reviewer of several IEEE Journals: IEEE Transaction on Industrial Electronics, IEEE Transaction on Power Electronics, IEEE Transaction on Industrial Applications, IEEE on Energy Conversion. Actually he is Adjunct Professor for the course ELECTRIC DRIVES.
