Dario Croccolo

Full professor at the University of Bologna since 2016, he carries out his research in the field of mechanical design, structural analysis and industrial product design. The research interests are aimed in particular at products made with additive manufacturing methods, friction connections and traditional and innovative shaft-hub couplings. Currently he focuses his research on the subject of mechanical resistance both static and dynamic (fatigue strength) of connections and components made by innovative materials. Engaged in national and international research projects, he collaborates with famous Italian and European scientific Societies. He is Editor of the Proceedings of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers, Part C: Journal of Mechanical Engineering Science and is the author of more than 200 publications. He received the 'Robert Hooke' award from the EURASEM Society (European Society for Experimental Mechanics). He holds a patent, he was the Chairman of the MECHANICS AND MATERIALS IN DESIGN International Conference in 2019 and will be the Chairman of the ICEM21 International Conference on Experimental Mechanics in 2025.
