PhD Student

Department of Classical Philology and Italian Studies

Academic discipline: L-FIL-LET/13 Philology of Italian Literature

Short Bio

I am a PhD student in Literary and Philological Cultures at the University of Bologna. My research project focuses on Giosue Carducci and his personal archive. In other words, I am studying Carducci’s manuscripts to define his intellectual and cultural profile and describe his work method.

Prior to joining the PhD programme, I majored in Humanities and subsequently in Italian studies, again at the University of Bologna. I started developing a particularinterest in Italian philology with a specialization in stemmatology and authorial philology.

The authors I am currently focused on, besides Carducci, are Francesco Petrarca and Giuseppe Ungaretti. I also work in the field of the history of Italian, focusing on the Florentine language of the fourteenth and fifteenth centuries. And, finally, my interests are also on the problems linked to the conservation of culturalheritage in the digital ecosystem.
