• SQL Server Express Edition (http://www.microsoft.com/Sqlserver/2008/en/us/express.aspx) Free version of the Microsoft's DBMS, with some limitations.
• PostgreSQL DBMS (http://www.postgresql.org/) very powerful and Open Source, suitable to be extended.
