Short Bio

Full professor, he carries out his research in the field of agricultural and biosystems engineering. His research interests are focused on the resilience and sustainability of territorial systems and green systems, GIS, smart farming systems and precision livestock farming, innovative lighting systems in protected crops, analysis and design of agricultural and agro-industrial buildings. He is scientific responsible for the University of Bologna of international projects PRIMA " Self-sufficient Integrated Multi-Trophic AquaPonic systems for improving food production sustainability and brackish water use and recycling", Climate KIC pathfinder "AELCLIC: Adaptation of European Landscapes to Climate Change”, and PRIN2020 "'Eye-Land' A crowd-sensing geospatial database for the monitoring of rural areas". Author of numerous publications in international journals, he collaborates with various organizations and companies. He coordinates the degree course in Sciences and technologies for green and landscape.
