- Degree in Nuclear Engineering (with grade 100/100) from the University of Bologna with a thesis on "Calibration of an ion beam through the use of nuclear resonances" made in Material Testing Laboratory, CNR in Bologna, Italy.

- PhD in "Mechanics of Materials and Technological Processes" from the University of Bologna with a dissertation on "Reliability Analysis for Automotive Systems." University of Bologna, Italy
